Die Distilleria Santa Teresa dei Fratelli Marolo wurde 1977 in Mussotto d'Alba gegründet. Begonnen hatte alles mit den Trestern befreundeter Winzer, die die Brüder im Auftrag destillierten - bis sie beschlossen, den einfachen Bauernschnaps auf das önologische Niveau zu befördern, das die Weine ihrer Heimat Piemont längst erreicht hatten. Jede Tresterpartie wird seither einzeln diskontinuierlich im Wasserbad gebrannt. Dementsprechend klein sind die Mengen dieser charaktervollen Destillate.
